Captains & Managers Trophy | Kilmarnock Barassie | Thursday 9th May 2024
The Captains & Managers event was held at Kilmarnock Barassie on Thursday 9th May 2024.
Participants were welcomed to the Club with breakfast rolls and coffee, before having the opportunity to enjoy two presentations on key industry topics.
Andrew Baptie (Scottish Golf Head of Club Services & Governance) together with Andrew Jenkins (Club Development Consultancy) presented on the various legal structures which golf clubs typically operate under. A specific area of focus was the subject of Incorporation for golf clubs and those in attendance were able to learn about the benefits, together with learning best practice from fellow peers in attendance.
Adam and Jake (Husqvarna) then jointly presented on the subject of robotics for golf clubs, where they explored the opportunities and benefits that introducing robotic mowers presents. It was a huge topic of further conversation over lunch, before the golfers headed out to enjoy the fine links of Barassie.
